hey all,
this is my first year of being involved in bm. today i am just outside carson city, going to do the tourist thing in virginia city tomorrow. i have a 26' travel trailer, and pick up. blm, national forest, etc are my main hangouts.
main reason for being in the area , is playing cribbage at the sands next weekend. then mid week in gardnerville. and the 12th in kings beach.
if black rock solar gets the permits. i may volunteer for them at the college.
any help is welcome
thanks

Tue, July 1, 2008 - 2:25 PMdepending on where you land yourself...you're in luck if you're in reno. it's ART town with all kinds of free events! wingfield park near the river is the place to hang out, music, parades, festive.
BUT also this weekend...you could head out to the playa..black rock city...free camping and it 4th of ju-playa! many others to share your weekend with.

artown
Tue, July 1, 2008 - 4:44 PMi was looking at this . seems most of teh concerts are very pricey.
as for the playa....... i came to play cribbage, so playing hooky up in gerlach is out. too bad. as it would have given me a clue as to what , where up there.
i drove the 'scenic highway' up to pyramid and back to fernley today.
rodeo there in a couple weeks.
please keep me in the loop about reno events... still awaiting black rock solar , for reno installation. -
